Do the statistics mean that a September 2015 submission that has not been either accepted or rejected is still under consideration?
That is correct. If you have not received a reply and the list at http://manager.submittable.com/user shows that the piece is “In Progress,” the work is still under consideration.
I’m having trouble making sense of the first chart, which has only three series in the legend, but ten bars in the chart. And if I try match the bar colors to the legend colors, I get response times that differ significantly from what The Grinder thinks your median response time is, which makes me doubt my interpretation of the chart.

I have had a piece under consideration for over a year. I received an email from an editor last November telling me the story had been given to the editor in chief for further consideration, but six months passed and when I contacted this same editor they never replied. Can you please post the contact info for who I should query regarding the status of my story?
